Frequently Asked Question:

1) How does Reverse Osmosis work? - Reverse osmosis (RO) water filters purify water by forcing it through a semi-permeable membrane that removes impurities. Water is pressurized to pass through the membrane, which has tiny pores (about 0.0001 microns) that allow water molecules to pass while blocking larger contaminants like salts, minerals, bacteria, and organic compounds. The process typically involves:

  1. Pre-filtration: Water passes through sediment and carbon filters to remove larger particles and chlorine, protecting the RO membrane.

  2. Reverse Osmosis: Pressurized water flows through the membrane, separating pure water (permeate) from concentrated impurities (brine or reject water).

  3. Post-filtration: Filtered water may pass through additional carbon filters to polish taste and remove residual odors.

  4. Storage and Delivery: Purified water is stored in a tank and dispensed via a faucet.

The rejected contaminants are flushed away, producing clean, high-purity water. RO systems are effective at removing up to 99% of dissolved solids, heavy metals, and microbes, but they waste some water in the process (typically 3-4 gallons per gallon of purified water).

2) Which filter systems are available? - Reverse osmosis (RO) filtration systems purify water by forcing it through a semi-permeable membrane to remove impurities, and we offer a range of systems tailored to your budget, space constraints, and water quality needs. The process typically involves multiple stages to ensure clean, safe, and great-tasting drinking water. We can source other variations of filtration units although some units will effect the end cost of the installation. Our most requested 6-stage RO system removes up to 99.9% of contaminants and includes a remineralization stage to enhance water quality.

3) How much does the filtration system cost? - We assess your water quality, budget, and available space to recommend the best RO system. Options range from compact 3-stage units for municipal water to advanced 6-8 stage systems for well water or heavily contaminated sources. Costs vary from £80-£150 for budget-friendly countertop or under-sink models to £230-£350 for high-capacity systems with additional features like remineralization or UV sterilization. Space constraints are considered, with compact designs like tankless or twist-in cartridge systems ideal for small under-sink areas. We do offer whole-house-filtration units which are exceptionally more expensive, please contact us directly if you want this filtration unit installed. Please bare in mind that the prices here are a rough estimate, all installations are unique and prices will vairy.

5) Does Aqua Pure Vitality manufacture their own filtration units? - At the current moment our business is dedicated to providing high-quality reverse osmosis (RO) water filtration solutions, sourced from trusted, high-end manufacturers, to meet diverse client needs. Unlike competitors offering generic systems, we supply a wide range of units to serve households, industrial, and commercial clients, ensuring access to clean, safe water for all. We ensure all units are rigorously tested and proven effective through prior client use. We are actively designing our own patented, modular RO filtration system, collaborating with top manufacturers to meet our high standards. This innovative system allows clients to add or remove filters (e.g., UV, alkaline, or specialty cartridges) at any time, offering unmatched flexibility. For example, you can upgrade from a 5-stage to a 7-stage system or swap filters to target specific contaminants like nitrates or heavy metals, without replacing the entire unit.

6) What is the process of purchasing a filtration unit from Aqua Pure Vitality? - Once we received your quotation request, a member of our office team will contact you to verify your details and schedule a visit from one of our installation technicians to your residence. During the visit, we will test your water quality, share the results, and explain how reverse osmosis works in person, addressing any questions you may have about your quote. If you approve the quote and all parties are satisfied, we will forward the details to our office for processing. Another team member will then contact you to confirm your installation date.

7) How is the filtration unit installed? - Upon arriving at your residence, we kindly ask you to clear any items or obstructions that may interfere with our installation process. We locate the water inlet, typically your kitchen faucet’s cold water supply, and install a T-junction to feed water to the filtration unit. We then install all necessary materials, including copper pipes, valves, bends, and reducers, as required for the unit. After installation, we conduct a pressure test to ensure there are no leaks. Finally, we seek your approval to confirm your satisfaction with the installation and address any questions you may have.

8) Post installation information? - All units come with a standard 3-month filter warranty, a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty, and a 1-year warranty on materials we install for the filtration unit only. Please note that we will not accept damage claims for items not supplied by us. The 3-month filter warranty is due to filters becoming thoroughly used after this period, so any issues beyond 3 months are likely caused by an excessively contaminated water supply, leading to early blockages and requiring more frequent filter replacements.

9) Is there any post installation programmes i can sign up to? - We offer a lifetime monthly payment option through our Loyal Client Programme. With this programme, we continue to support our clients for as long as they remain subscribed. This includes all filter replacements, repairs for any damages, unit upgrades, uninstallation and reinstallation if the client moves residences, product enhancements, ongoing education, and much more. Rest assured, with our Loyal Client Programme, you will be treated like part of our family. All subscriptions start from £9.99 but will vairy depending on which unit you have installed.

Emergency FAQs:

1) The filtration unit is leaking? - First, turn off the valve that supplies water to the filter unit. Once the valve is off, either close the pressure tank valve located at the top of the tank or collect the stored water in bottles through the faucet to preserve drinking water until one of our technicians arrives. Next, release pressure in the filter unit by opening the faucet and leaving it open; this will relieve any system pressure and prevent further leakage. Please note that you will still have access to your standard tap water, and no other systems will be affected by turning off the filtration valve. Then, contact Aqua Pure to report the issue, and we will schedule an appointment to send a technician to assist you depending on our warranty guidelines and if your a subscriber to our Loyal Client Programme.

2) A strange taste in my filtered water? - If we have recently installed your filtration unit, particularly one with a storage tank, we would have explained that a metallic taste in the water may occur due to the new tank. This is normal and can typically be resolved by filling and completely draining the tank a few times. If the taste persists and you have a well-used tank, it may indicate that your filters need replacing. You can purchase replacement filters yourself, contact Aqua Pure Vitality to arrange a filter replacement through us, or, if you are enrolled in our Loyal Client Programme, request a filter change by contacting us, and we will handle it at no additional cost.

3) The Filtration unit has lost pressure? - To confirm that the issue lies with your filter unit, first test your standard faucet’s water pressure by turning it on. If the pressure is normal, inspect the filter system for any leaks. Refer to our leak-handling instructions in question 1 if a leak is found. If there are no leaks and the water pressure is normal, the problem may indicate that your filters need replacing. Refer to our filter replacement guidance in question 2.

4) Severe leak caused by the filter unit - If on the rare occasion our filter unit has malfunctioned please refer to question one to isolate the leak. Contact Aqua Pure immediately and we will assist you to the best of our ability depending on our warranty guidelines and if your a subscriber to our Loyal Client Programme.
